Nigerian singer and Grammy Award-winning artiste Burna Boy has issued a stern warning to fellow musician and social media personality, Speed Darlington, following Darlington’s release from prison after a two-month detention for cyberstalking violations.
In the early hours of January 22, 2025, Burna Boy took to his Instagram story to deliver the warning, cautioning Speed Darlington to steer clear of any trouble involving him.

The saga began in October 2024, when Burna Boy filed a petition against Speed Darlington, leading to his arrest by the police. Shortly afterward, Speed Darlington’s mother disclosed that her son had been declared missing after posting a video about Burna Boy. In the video, Speed Darlington had alleged that Burna Boy was affiliated with American rapper Diddy, who had recently been arrested on charges of sex trafficking and other crimes. The video gained significant attention online, prompting Speed Darlington’s mother to publicly appeal to Burna Boy, asking for mercy and pleading for her son’s release.
