IG hosts arms control centre coordinator at Force Headquarters

The acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, received the National Coordinator, National Center for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons, Major General Abba Dikko (retd.) and the management team of the NCCSALW, this was on Thursday during a courtesy visit to the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

In a statement made on the night of Thursday,  the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed that Mr Dikko commended the Nigeria Police Force for providing substantial support to the NCCSALW in the execution of its mandate.

“The IG, while noting that the visit has opened a new vista in the relationship currently existing between the NPF and the center, assured the NCCSALW of continued collaboration in the efforts to riding the nation of illicit firearms and promote public safety and security,” Adejobi added.
