A Kenyan cook, known as Maliha Mohammed, has surpassed Nigerian Hilda Baci’s record of the longest cooking marathon. Mohammed achieved this great feat few months after declaring her intention to pursue it. It should be noted that earlier on, 26-year-old Nigerian Hilda Baci had achieved the longest cooking marathon with an amazing cooking time of 93 hours and 11 minutes. She was later on Tuesday, June 13, officially declared the Guineas World Record Holder
On the 11th of August however, Chef Mohammed began her cook-a-thon on "unofficially". This move ended up in a new record surpassing that of Nigerin Hilda Baci, to cook for for 95 hours 15 minutes.
Chef Mohammed a mother of two who had before Hilda Baci broken the Guinness World Record in 2019, posted pictures of the event online to mark her new achievement.
However, Guinness World Record has not confirmed Chef Mohammed’s new cooking record yet. We all await a statement from the Guineas World Record on this matter.
