A former neonatal nurse by the name Lucy Letby has been put on a life in prison sentence for the gruesome murders of 7 babies.
The former neonatal nurse is said to have killed seven babies who were under her care and also tried to kill other six at a hospital in the Northern part of England.
She was however sentenced on Monday to life in prison by a judge who highlighted “the cruelty and calculation” of her actions. (Aug. 21) with no possibly of being released. The judge described the neonatal nurse's act as "cruel, cunning and callous, and acted with “malevolence bordering sadism."
Lucy Letby refused to appear in court in a way to shy away from outpouring of anger from grieving parents. She was however given the most severe punishment possible under British law, which does not allow the death penalty.
